Are you looking to complete your legal training and start a career using the law for social justice? If you complete and pass the Legal Practice Course (LPC), or have an undergraduate degree and complete and pass SQE Part 1 by 14 March 2026, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!
The Justice First Fellowship (JFF) is a two-year, fully funded legal training programme for aspiring social justice lawyers. Run by Legal Education Foundation (LEF), JFF has supported 170 fellows since 2014, with most continuing to work in social justice law.
As a fellow at North Yorkshire Citizens Advice & Law Centre, you’ll complete your legal training with us. We’ll cover the cost of any required training, and you’ll also work with us to develop a project that supports our mission. Through JFF, you’ll receive additional training, wellbeing support, and join a growing network of lawyers using the law to drive social change.
You’ll join a team and an organisation whose goal is to help everyone find a way forward, whatever problem they face. We’re passionate about making a real difference in our community, working together with empathy, integrity and a shared commitment to social justice.
The role is based in your choice of one North Yorkshire office: Harrogate, Malton, Northallerton, Scarborough or Selby with occasional travel to the other offices.
